Evasion
Evasion "A skill of moving quickly and carefully over the battlefield. Increases movement speed and a chance to evade an attack." This skill affects:
а) Movement speed in non-battle mode. With a Combat Running perk in battle mode as well. b) Chance to dodge a succesful attack (same as the escaping of a critical attack: after a successful attack, another Throw is made, checking if you were successful in your dodging, therefore chance to hit DOES NOT depend on the chance of hit.) Dodge for each bullet is counted separately, which means that if, for an example, you have 10% dodge, than out of a burst of 40 bullets you will dodge about 4 bullets. c) Allows you to grab a Transposition perk, which gives you a 25% chance to restore all of your AP points upon successful dodging.
There is a new book for this skill.
Dodge will start to work as soon as your character will get to 100%+ Evasion. Starting Evasion points are AG*6.
For each 6% of Evasion skill your character will get a 1% Dodge chance (while also getting a 1% movement speed boost). By achieving 300% Evasion, you will have ~33% dodge and +33% movement speed (outside of a battle, without a perk). If your character succeeded with dodging, he will not get into battle mode (the one who shot you will) and there will be a message in the battle chat box.
Other affecting parametres: 1. Trait Jinxed doesn't affect dodging; 2. Dodge chance (however on the moment of writing this, there are no movement speed penalties, so there may be some now) is affected by the both equipped armor and items in your hands. From the items in your hands or your equipped armor, the one with the highest volume will affect your chance to dodge, each unit of volume reduces your Evasion skill by 13%. (Important! NOT your chance to dodge is reduced by 13%). Example : Character with 300% Evasion has Combat Armor equipped, left hand - Gatling Laser, right hand - Plasma Rifle.
From those items, Gatling Laser has the most volume of 6. Volume of Combat Armor will also add to that (CA's volume is 4). It leaves us with a penalty of 10*13=130 , which also means that Your "working" Evade will be 300-130=170% of skill points. Which basically means that you will have (170-100)\6 = 11% Dodge chance.
Other methods of increasing dodge chances (do not boost your movement speed OR take penalties from equipped items): 1. With an Evasion Module, which you can acquire rarely via caravans or through Base Control , you can grant yourself a bonus 4% chance to dodge (one-time installment per character). 2. With the Dodger perk you can increase your chances by another 8%.
