Replication
Replication is a "ressurection" of a player after death. (you will use this service lots of times.) It is possible due to the Habologists in each of the four Replication centres, each of them is situated near large cities. Plot, concerning replication was a part of TLA, here, on TLAmk2 server, replication is left as a feature, with nothing more to it.
Every character is stored in "replication data banks" by default. Each character has his own "replication balance": you can view your current balance by turning on your pip-boy. (double press P, usefull shortcut). Each replication withdraws 100*char-lvl NCR dollars. When you run out of funds and go into "debt" bad things will happen upon respawning. To avoid that, always keep your balance positive. You can do so by using bank console in any bank of the Wastes (there is one in each city on the map). Also you can deposit money on other player's bank account, as well as withdraw them from yours.
Upon death you drop all your items, including the ones that were equipped on you (they will remain on your body).
Replication stations
At the moment there are 4 different replication stations. You can not enter them from global map and they are guarded from the inside, so relatively speaking they are secure. Inside each station there are at least three different options that may interest you as a player:
- Bank terminal Usually there is one right next to where you spawn, another one is near the shop. Usually used only for withdrawal.
- Shop After your replication procedures are completed, you will find out that only thing that's left with you is your Vault suit (usually reffered to as the "pajamas"). To change that, you can withdraw money from your bank account and trade with a habologist for first-need items. You can also order a non-cash trade. First is usefull for characters with high Charisma and Barter skills, second is much safer (no one will try to steal from you).
- Driver At the exit of each of those stations there will be a mechanic dressed in Combat Armor. You can ask him to give you a ride to any of the nearest cities. Keep in mind that if you do that, you will instantly appear at the entrance of the chosen city. (you will not be able to safely look at it first from the global map).
Replication stations coords
- Station №1 : Zone 7:4, 382:230, near Klamath and Den .
- Station №2 : Zone 19:7, 963:363, near Modoc .
- Station №3 : Zone 12:12, 613:637, near Redding .
- Station №4 (emergency): Zone 21:16, 1064:832, near Sierra, Broken Hills, New-Reno.
- Special replication station ("Hell"): Zone 15:12, 784:616, south-east from Redding.
Death with a negative balance
For some unknown reason, habologists keep ressurecting replicants with a negative balance, but their fate is not something you will envy. Their bodies are just thrown out of the building of some closed replication station, without even injecting stimulators. Each character that will die with his balance being negative, will remain in a weakness state for quite some time (depends on the level) ( weakness will reduce all your S.T.A.T.S. by 1). What is more, habologists won't do proper zeta-scan for the new body, which means that all the radiation, punctures and addictions will remain on your new body.
Banks
Each city has its own Bank owned by habologists. There are multiple services provided by it:
- Depositing by using the bank terminal - just click on it and select a corresponding option. In order to input the amount of deposited money use the button "Say".
- Witdrawal repeat the steps above, selecting another option.
- Deposit money on other player's account repeat the steps above, except you will have to use "Say" twice, once for the nickname of desired player, next is for the sum.
- Register for the Bishop Arena In order to register for the future Arena fights, select a corresponding option and simply register. You can also check when next fights are going to take place.
- Penalty pay If your replication balance is high enough, you will be able to pay for the penalties of every city via the terminal (money in your inventory and\or in hands won't count).
- An access to the vault By paying 100$ to the habologist you will be able to store your items in your own locker. (items will remain in THAT bank of THAT city). Items stored in bank's vault can't be stolen, therefore it's the safest way to store something (amount of items you can put there is not limitless). Keep in mind that only one person at a time can remain in vault. If you will try to get close to the vault without paying the fee, you will get shot.
- Lost and found If you did not follow the advice given above and you somehow got yourself killed within the bank, you can buyout those items from the habologist for a certain price.
Not only vault is guarded in the bank, don't try to steal, set up traps or start fights, otherwise you will find yourself awaiting replication in the next second.
Down below are the images of bank locations in game:
